layout websites

It's becoming more and more common, when you go to a web site such as igoogle or bbc and find the new concept of being able to edit the layout of the website to suit your needs or preference.
the feature on igoogle lets you move the gadgets around the page and remove what you don't want. some of the gadgets are, youtube, weather, wikipedia, google maps, games, news and so much more.
as well as the gadgets you can change the theme of the page, which is a fun little added extra.

Text Sharing Websites

Text sharing websites such at twitter, blogger and gumtree, are used everyday by thousands to communicate information and messages but on the whole most use them to tell the world every boring detail of their lives.

sites such as blogger has one main function, you create a blog page, maybe put some photos and write a couple blogs about what ever you like and you can share it on the world wide web, so your friends and family can see what you've been up to and it gives them a chance to comment you either on your blogs or via private messages.
Blogger is a useful site but it has limited functions, sites such as Bebo or Myspace offer the user a lot more to do but the blog function isn't as much of a main aspect, with limited space to show your posts.

Webjam is a lot like Blogger, but is more advanced with multiple functions and a much wider target audiance. On the site there is the usual blog and picture function as well as Events, Multimedia - MP3, Videos (YouTube), File upload and download,  Free HTML,  Bookmarks, Google Maps, Amazon search, Email integration (Yahoo!/Gmail), Badges to promote your network and much much more.
layout sites i.e bbc. Webjam also has a professional use. you can pay a fee to have a professional page to advertise your company/ product, as usful as the site is for buisnesses, for the average joe blog there's a lot more sites out there that offer the same without the price, that are more than likely more popular.

                                          Linkin Park-In The End

Title: In The End, from the album Hybrid Theory
Artist: Linkin Park
Released in 2001
The style: nu-metal/ rap rock

The background:
Linkin park parks turbulent history of rejection and members leaving has moulded the band into the award winning legends that we see today. In 1996 the three young men Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson And Rob Bourdon fresh from the Californian high school recruited Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Mark Wakefield to perform in their band, Xero. However after a couple years of recording in mike’s make shift recording studio in his bedroom, they were still getting rejected by record labels. This tore a rift in the band promting Wakefield, at that time the band's vocalist, to leave the band in search for other projects. Farrell also left to tour with Tasty Snax among other bands.
After along search for wakefields replacement Xero recruited Arizona vocalist Chester Benningham in march1999. Bennington, formerly of Grey Daze, became a standout among applicants because of his unique singing style. The band changed its name from Xero to Hybrid Theory. The newborn vocal chemistry between Shinoda and Bennington helped revive the band, causing them to write new and better material. The band’s renaissance culminated with a change in name; from Hybrid Theory, the band changed its name to Linkin Park, a play on and homage to Santa Monica’s Lincoln Park. However, despite these changes, the band still struggled to sign a record deal. After facing numerous rejections from several major record labels, Linkin Park turned to Jeff Blue for additional help. After failing to land a deal with Warner Bros. record label on three previous try’s, Jeff Blue, now the vice president of Warner Bros. Records, helped the band sign a deal with the company in 1999. Will you still be humming it next week?
In the end, has been getting hummed by young and old alike for close to a decade, due to it’s highly addictive tune memorable lyrics make it both a moving and powerful piece.
Will it make the charts?
In my opinion “In The End” should make the top five in the single charts and the album “Hybrid Theory” should do the same in the album charts. But in reality the songs genre has too small an audience. So it would more likely make the top thirty.
